Selecting a Scripting Language

To select a test procedure scripting language:

• Close any SQA Suite programs that are running

• Do one of the following
From the windows taskbar: choose start-->Programs-->SQA Suite-->SQA Administrator.

From Program Manger: Double – click the SQA Administrator icon in the SQA Suite program group.

• Select the SQA Robot tab.

• Select either SQA Basic or Visual Basic.

• If you selected SQA Basic as the scripting language, do one of the following:
Accept the default Local SQA Directory.

Select the Common SQA Directory to use SQA Basic header and source files stored in a common SQA directory. To specify the common directory, select the Common SQA Directory tab and enter the directory name.

• If you selected Visual Basic as the scripting language, accept the default VB Path installation directory, type a new directory, or choose Browse and select a directory.

• Choose OK to set the scripting language.

Choose Help-->About SQA Robot in SQA Robot to verify the current scripting language. These radio buttons are enabled only if you selected both Visual Basic and SQA Basic as scripting languages during installation. Virtual user procedures are only supported by the SQA Basic scripting language.
